Life Transitions

When Life Doesn't Look Like You Expected

Sometimes the hardest seasons aren't the ones we choose.

And sometimes they're exactly the ones we do.

Maybe you're moving across the country.
Changing careers.
Ending a relationship.
Starting over.
Trying to become a parent.
Becoming one.
Or wondering why the life you've worked so hard to build suddenly doesn't feel like it fits anymore.

Even positive change can bring grief.

Because every new beginning usually asks us to let go of something else.

You may be feeling...

  • Stuck between who you were and who you're becoming

  • Overwhelmed by uncertainty or fear of making the wrong decision

  • Burned out from trying to hold everything together

  • Unsure of your identity after a major life change

  • Grieving the future you thought you'd have

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your relationships

  • Constantly asking, "Am I making the right choice?"

If you're someone who's used to having the answers, transitions can feel especially unsettling.

Imagine...

Feeling excited about what's next instead of terrified you'll make the wrong decision.

Trusting yourself enough to stop asking everyone else what you should do.

Feeling grounded, even when life feels uncertain.

Knowing that you don't have to have everything figured out before taking the next step.

How We'll Work Together

Together, we'll make sense of what's happening beneath the surface while helping you move toward the life you actually want—not the one anxiety tells you to choose.

Depending on your needs, we may use:

EMDR to process difficult experiences or transitions that continue to feel emotionally overwhelming.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand the parts of you that crave certainty, fear failure, or feel responsible for getting every decision exactly right.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to strengthen your relationships while navigating life's inevitable changes.

Throughout therapy, my goal isn't to tell you what your next step should be.

It's to help you trust yourself enough to decide.

Life transitions are full of uncertainty. Let’s get comfy with that.
